Love It, Live It, Believe It The World of Baseball is a year-round baseball academy where your game will gain the edge in all phases of baseball mechanics (hitting for power, hitting for average, throwing, fielding, speed/agility and pitching). The World of Baseball sets the standard for professional instruction through motivation and intense training using innovative techniques. We provide this to the player (ages 3-23) through private lessons, leagues, camps and clinics. Our goal is to embrace each player's potential and develop specially designed programs for his/her age and skill level. Our instructors work hard to instill a good work ethic, as well as fundamental baseball habits. Players will be provided the opportunity of exposure to junior colleges, colleges, universities and professional baseball scouts.

The World of Baseball is owned and operated by long-time Major League Baseball professional and Jacksonville native Clay Daniel. Daniel is currently director of international scouting for the Los Angeles Angels at Anaheim and previously served in the same capacity for the Arizona Diamondbacks. Daniel played college baseball at Gulf Coast Community College, where he broke Hall of Famer Don Sutton’s all-time strikeout record, and at the University of Florida, where he was named to the 1984 All-Southeast Conference Team as a senior. He was a 20th-round draft pick of the Cincinnati Reds in 1984 and pitched in the minor league systems of the Reds, Pittsburgh Pirates and Texas Rangers until 1990.
"We were fortunate enough to meet Clay Daniel in 1997. Clay started working with Matt when he was 13. He continued to work with Matt throughout high school and developed Matt's game, covering all of the fundamental aspects of baseball. After graduation, Clay set up some tryouts for Matt to attend. His first tryout was at Chipola Junior College where Matt was offered a scholarship on the spot. That year Matt was the Panhandle Conference Player of the Year, Junior College Player of the Year for the state of Florida and named First Team All-American. Also Matt was the fourth round draft pick and signed with the Milwaukee Brewers. Matt has just completed his first full season in Single "A" Ball. He was named to the All-Star roster and was named MVP of the All-Star game. We are so grateful for everything Clay and The World of Baseball has done for Matt. We would recommend The World of Baseball academy to anyone who wants their children to learn to play baseball the right way." – Sincerely, Frank & Ceri Gamel, parents of Matt Gamel
